We are more than glad to reveal that our work on our upcoming album is almost finished. With "our work" and "almost finished" we are saying that this week we finished laying down the keyboards and what's left is the saxophones and such, that we'll lay down on 24th of this month. Meanwhile also we have stepped into mixing phase, as Jukka started to mix the other tracks around those missing parts so it shouldn't be long anymore before Matias will get his hands on the mastering, we get our hands on tye finished product and lastly we can start the negotiations on when we will have it out for all of you to blast on your players. What we can say is that as soon as we entered the studio, we realized that this album was going to take an path that we wasn't originally planning on and we are absolutely blown away with how it is turning out. Every technique of doing things "right" went to trashbin and instead of playing, screaming or singing with proper techniques, we went for pure heart, pure soul, pure energy, pure emotion and pure force to make it sound as real as it can. I would scream my heart out until I almost passed out, just like everyone else was giving their 110% too. And if you ask me, it shows in the outcome. Can't wait for it to be released. We are hugely excited to announce that Crib45 has re-inked a deal with Symbolic Records Finland, who will handle our future releases. To celebrate this warm return to home, our first announcement is the digital reissue of our 5 song EP "The Ghosts Among Me", originally released as a digital single in 2009 prior to our debut album Metamorphosis. “The Ghosts Among Me EP” will be released on January 13th and can be found via all major distributors, including Spotify and iTunes.
Also we are pleased to announce our future collaboration with Macaroni Penguin Music who will handle our PR and live booking.

Crib45 to release new album ”Marching Through The Borderlines”
Crib45 is proud to announce the release of their sophomore album Marching Through The Borderlines, which will be released on april 4th 2014 through Symbolic Records Finland. With Marching Through The Borderlines, the band continues to explore deeper into their more artistic and experimental side that they carried on with their debut album.
Album follows up the group's 2009 debut album Metamorphosis, which was released through Symbolic Records Finland
Marching Through The Borderlines is an album ascending from a world that is inevitably drifting towards the dark age of humanity. A state where compassion is considered weakness and pity is a sickness. The album's theme is based around despair and losing faith in mankind, that instead of learning from it's mistakes and seeking a path to deliverance, mankind is determinedly setting a course headfirst towards perdition. Humanity stands on the verge of destruction and chooses to march over the edge. The album is dark and bleak, because in the world around it, there could have been no other outcome.
On this album, Crib45 also introduces the new line-up and new more darker sound, with keyboards and extra percussionist in a bigger role, which means that the sonic three guitar wall of distortion willl now be companied with matching wall of pounding drums and multiple layers of haunting keyboards. To put the cherry on the cake, new line-up has not only increased on dynamics of the instruments, but also introduces 3 more vocalists, bringing the vocal count to 5 and bigger harmonies. Musically Marching Through The Borderlines is based on linear structures and no repetition, instead of the usual verse-chorus-verse songs keeps on moving forward and rarely going back to recurring elements in the songs.
Chrzaniæ to co wcze¶niej, ale ostatnie zdanie brzmi wyj±tkowo zachêcaj±co i jestem niezmiernie ciekaw jak im ta linearno¶æ struktur wyjdzie.

Przes³ucha³em ju¿ kilka razy najnowszy kawa³ek Cribów i bardzo mi siê podoba. W stosunku do tego co zaprezentowali na "Metamorphosis", jest mroczniej (byæ mo¿e tak bêdzie na ca³ym albumie - ma trwaæ ok. 75 minut (https://www.facebook.com/Crib45/posts/789984561017937?stream_ref=10)). W 'Into The Abyss' s³yszê echa fascynacji Cult of Luna i odrobinê Opeth z okresu BWP-Deliverance. Rytmika mocnego grania przywodzi natomiast jakby motorykê 'I Feel You' Depeche Mode. Jak Wam siê w ogóle ten nowy kawa³ek podoba? A w artworku singla, w dolnej pochylonej p³aszczyzny mamy jakby reminiscencjê frontu ok³adki MAYH Opeth, w ka¿dym razie ja tak to widzê. ;)

W³a¶nie koñczê pierwszy prawdziwy ods³uch w ca³o¶ci i muszê powiedzieæ, ¿e wra¿enia mam bardzo dobre. Wprawdzie spodziewa³em siê nieco wyra¼niejszych zmian wzglêdem pierwszej p³yty, ale to co otrzymali¶my s³ucha³o mi siê ¶wietnie. By³y momenty naprawdê chwytliwe, wiêc kolejne ods³uchy z pewno¶ci± nast±pi± wkrótce, mimo ¿e dalej siedzê raczej w zdecydowanie rado¶niejszych klimatach ni¿ post metal :)

My¶lê, ¿e Bia³ystok nie wchodzi w rachubê, ale taka by³a sugestia Teemu. W Bia³ymstoku uczestniczy³em przy organizacji obu ProgDay'ów. Na pierwszym zagra³o Quidam, Votum i Bright Ophidia, bilety by³y tanie jak barszcz (po 10 lub 15 z³), a na koncert przysz³o mo¿e ze sto osób... ;) Wracaj±c do Crib45, obstawiam, ¿e Warszawa wypali. :)

We just received bad news about our show in Warsaw. Unfortunately the venue that we were booked in, got evicted from the premises by the city of Warsaw. This means that there will be no show in Wypieki Kultury.
We are now immediately starting to work again to find a new venue for Warsaw as we speak and as soon as anything comes up, we will let you know.

¦wietnie :D Strasznie szkoda, Jacku, ¿e Ciê nie by³o. Ch³opaki dali czadu (zagrali nawet Province na moj± pro¶bê i dosta³em specjaln± dedykacjê ze sceny! :mrgreen: ).
By³y te¿ grupowe foty (mam nadziejê, ¿e kiedy¶ ujrz± ¶wiat³o dnia) i grupowe u¶ciski. Bardzo sympatyczni go¶cie i naprawdê szkoda, ¿e od razu po koncercie musieli zmykaæ do Francji.

Niestety, jak pisa³em wcze¶niej, z powodu zmiany pracy, w ¶rodku tygodnia, nie mia³em ¿adnej mo¿liwo¶ci wyrwaæ siê do Warszawy. Do tego jeszcze doszed³ kurs zawodowy i do domu wraca³em dopiero po 19-tej. Fajnie macie z tymi p³ytami... Teemu ju¿ rok temu mia³ mi przys³aæ digipack "Metamorphosis". Dwukrotnie w ci±gu kilku miesiêcy prosi³ o podanie mojego adresu, ale niestety nic z tego nie wysz³o, a niezrêcznie by³o mi siê upominaæ... Wiem natomiast, Ania przys³a³a mi fotkê, ¿e w booklecie do "Marching Through the Borderlines" umie¶cili dla mnie podziêkowania. Bardzo to mi³e z ich strony. :)

To mo¿e ja napiszê parê s³ów od siebie, jako samozwañczy kierownik tej weso³ej wycieczki ;)
Ch³opaki s± naprawdê mega przesympatyczni, mimo wielkiego zmêczenia zachowywali dobry humor. Razem z Kas oprowadzi³y¶my ich dos³ownie po kawa³ku centrum, opowiedzia³y¶my trochê o mie¶cie i zaprowadzi³y¶my do knajpy na wypasion± kolacjê, a potem jeszcze skoczyli¶my na piwo ;) Je¶li chodzi o sam koncert, to pomimo nielicznej publiczno¶ci energia by³a niesamowita! Dla mnie by³o to i¶cie magiczne wydarzenie, poniewa¿ od pó³ roku by³am zafascynowana ich muzyk±, wiêc us³yszenie jej na ¿ywo wywo³a³o kupê pozytywnych emocji. O osobistym spotkaniu nie wspomnê ;) S± te¿ bardzo wdziêczni, dziêkowali nam wszystkim wielokrotnie i generalnie dawali odczuæ jak wiele nasza pomoc dla nich znaczy. No i raczej pozostaniemy w kontakcie, gdy¿ szykujemy pewn± niespodziankê, któr± mam nadziejê uda siê zi¶ciæ w du¿ym stopniu ;)

Teraz to ju¿ wszyscy jeste¶my znajomymi Temmu i jego paczki. ;) Bardzo siê cieszê, ¿e wszystko by³o OK. Jak pisa³em kilkana¶cie postów wcze¶niej, Teemu napisa³ do mnie jeszcze w sierpniu ub. roku w sprawie ewentualnego koncertu w Bia³ymstoku, ale od pocz±tku zdawa³em sobie sprawê, ¿e moje i Bartka miasto, to nie jest najlepsze miejsce na pierwszy koncert w Polsce, wiêc zaproponowa³em Warszawê. Poda³em namiary na Aniê, Micha³a, Tomka i Kamila i w pewnym sensie Was obarczy³em odpowiedzialno¶ci± za "ca³y ten zgie³k" ;) - bardzo siê cieszê i ze swojej strony ogromnie Wam dziêkujê, ¿e wszystko wypali³o. Co siê tyczy mojej skromnej osoby, jeszcze d³ugo bêdê w sobie nosi³ uczucie niedosytu (¿al mi pewn± czê¶æ cia³a ¶ciska), ¿e nie by³o mnie tam z Wami. :( Ale có¿ pocz±æ, gdyby to by³a np. sobota... c'est la vie. ;)

Voodoo Club, Warsaw 4.2
Set: Borderlines, Passage, Fading Hope, Waiting for Deliverance, Province, Into the Abyss + Catharsis (encore)
We arrived in Warsaw on Wednesday afternoon and we were allowed to load in all of our stuff into the club even though the gig was the next day. Again this was convenient as ever but what was even greater was that there were almost no stairs and no twists or turns, making the load in probably the fastest so far. To top it all off this was also the biggest stage we have had so far which put us all at ease for the gig to come.
In the evening, local friends Ola and Ana (thanks so much!) picked us up from our hostel and showed us around in the neighborhood and then we all went for dinner. Having driven all day and living off snacks and sandwiches, we were all longing for some proper food, and this place sure as heck did not disappoint! After stuffing ourselves with meat, piryogis, and local beers, we went to bed relaxed and happy.
The day of the gig was very relaxing. We had more than enough time to set up at the venue, which was good as there were also two bands supporting us (although I think we ran overtime into their sound check, sorry for that boys!). Thanks to [wreath] and Backbone for playing with us, it was great!
Our gig went very well, much thanks to the huge stage and wide sounds that we got out of the space. We played the longest set so far, clocked at nearly 1.5h! Once again, we recorded and filmed the whole thing with multiple cameras so there will be another edited video coming up from this gig so stay tuned!
The crowd cheered us up for an encore and we did Catharsis, and amazing dynamite ending to an already explosive set. Thanks to all the people and friends who came out to see us! Your support is invaluable! All in all, good food, good friends, good times!
Thank you Warsaw, now on our way to Metz, France. Currently driving through Germany. This is a seriously long leg, but we are all in a great mood! :)

Kolejny band Teemu Mäntynena: Radien - polecam 'Madonlakki' - ¶wietny kawa³ek. =D>

Around ten years ago, a dear friend and our then bassist Pasi sent me a link to something that changed the way I look at music. It was simply combination of something that blew my mind, Panopticon, Salvation and True Nature Unfolds. After starting to research this genre, Dirge was the first band that I found on my own and just like the before mentioned trio, Dirge became a strong influence in what I was doing. I recently found some scetches of the songs what later on became full songs and part of our albums and there were working titles like "Crib Dirge" and "Dirge45" etc. Fast forward ten years, I am lying on the sofa in our rehearsal studio, waiting for the sandman, guys of the Dirge sleeping in the other rooms of the house, after sharing the stage with them. I have to say that I feel really lucky and blessed, that I have been able to share the stage with so many talented musicians, that I admire. It is something that I do not take for granted and will not forget. I am glad, that I was a part of the reason they ended up here in Finland, but still everything started from this one email from Arvids saying "Hey, would you guys want to come to the Baltics? There's this band, Dirge, who are coming here and they would need an opener". It didn't happen that time, but couple of years later it happened here, after Arvids introduced me to Stephane from Dirge. Where am I going with this? I don't know, just feeling happy about the opportunity and where the life has brought us. We're still the smallest band in the world, but been given loads of great opportunities, of which I am grateful for. Surprisingly, except to those who knows me, I am sober so it's not just the beer talking, since I didn't have any. Just feeling blessed. Now some sleep and after that, qt some point, we will continue to masterfully avoid the success, like we have done since 2002 :)
