Dream Theater nigdy specjalnie nie mia³ dobrej prasy, dobrego wziêcia w "Teraz Rock", a przedtem w "Tylko Rock". No mo¿e poza redaktorem naczelnym Wies³awem Weissem - bardzo pochlebne wpisy o formacji w jego "Rock Encyklopedii". Tym razem zupe³ne jak dla mnie zaskoczenie. W pa¼dzierniku album dosta³ bardzo dobr± notê (4/5), co przedtem zdarza³o siê jedynie raczej przy wydawnictwach koncertowych. W listopadzie natomiast zosta³ ujêty w rubryce "odlot" czyli w grupie trzech najwy¿ej ocenionych albumach w "Teraz Rocku" w trzech poprzedzaj±cych miesi±cach. Obok nowe albumy Gov't Mule i Avenged Sevenfold - dziwi obecno¶æ tego drugiego, bo nagra³ album wtórny i s³aby (wyczuwalny jest jednak brak Portnoya, który przy realizacji poprzedniego albumu A7x pomóg³ formacji wej¶æ na poziom, którego tym razem nie byli w stanie osi±gn±æ). Dziwi podwójnie, bo w tym miejscu widzia³bym np. "Hesitation Marks" NIN. A¿ siê bojê, nauczony do¶wiadczeniem Chemii, ¿e palce w tym mog³o maczaæ wydawnictwo p³ytowe... Niemniej nowego albumu Dream Theater nadal s³ucha mi siê wybornie. Czêsto do niego wracam i z pewno¶ci± od miesi±ca jest wydawnictwem najchêtniej i najczê¶ciej s³uchanym. :)

Bardzo fajna akcja z ich strony. "Album" mam od wczoraj na dysku ale jeszcze nie odpalalem. Sympatyczne chlopaki w kazdym razie ;)

Obejrza³em wreszcie "Live at Luna Park". ¦wietnie sfilmowane show, mo¿e nawet najlepiej w ich dorobku, ale tym razem czego¶ zabrak³o (byæ mo¿e Portka) i nie do koñca potrafi³em siê wci±gn±æ. Pewnie jeszcze do koncertu powrócê, ale obawiam siê, ¿e niedosyt tego pierwszego wra¿enia nie przeminie...

Walkuje od paru dni 'Dream Theater' i kurna uznaje wszem i wobec, ze to piekny album. Melodie w 'The Bigger Picture' czy 'Along the Ride' urzekaja, cale 'Illumination Theory' rozwala i nawet mi sie ten singlowy numer wkrecil juz na dobre. Byle do 5. lutego ;)

Ok, odswiezam wlasnie 'A Dramatic Turn of Events', ktory gdzies tam troszke zignorowalem. 'This is the life' to jedna z najpiekniejszych balladek DT.

W ogole nachodzi mnie taka refleksja, ze coraz bardziej mi siedzi ten 'nowy' DT. Jakos bardziej do mnie przemawia niz - o zgrozo! - 'Images and Words', a juz na pewno bardziej niz 'Awake', ktory od prau lat nijak mi nie moze wejsc. Ot, ciekawe ;)

Piosenki roku 2013 wg magazynu "Classic Rock" - w ¿yciu bym siê nie spodziewa³, ¿e oni tam tak wysoko oceni± Dreamów, choæ osobi¶cie my¶lê, ¿e na "Dream Theater" s± jeszcze lepsze piosenki ni¿ kawa³ek wybrany na singiel, nieprawda¿ Voice? ;)

"Dream Theater" jest dla mnie w ich dyskografii czym¶ na miarê "Genesis" w dyskografii Genesis lub "90125" w dyskografii Yes. ;)
