Celestial Effigy przes³ucha³em ju¿ kilka razy i nie mogê siê oprzeæ wra¿eniu, ¿e zespó³ próbuje w³a¶nie powróciæ w rejony "Ashes Against the Grain". Dopieszczone brzmienie, piêkne gitarowe harmonie. Po gara¿owej oko³oblackowej estetyce "Marrow of the Spirit" i "Faustian Echoes" nie pozosta³o w³a¶ciwie ju¿ prawie nic. Oczywi¶cie nie wiadomo jak bêdzie na ca³ej p³ycie, ale my¶lê, ¿e kierunek w którym Agalloch pod±¿a wraz z Celestial Effigy zosta³ zaprezentowany. ;)

A wiêc to jednak oficjalna ok³adka nadchodz±cego "The Serpent & The Sphere". Na bandcamp jest ju¿ nawet osobna zak³adka, na razie tylko ze strumieniem 'Celestial Effigy'.

Edit: Jestem przy pierwszym ods³uchu. Przyjemnie siê s³ucha, ale na tak± g³êbsz± ocenê bêdê potrzebowa³ jeszcze kilka podej¶æ. ;)

Pos³ucha³em ju¿ trochê najnowszy album. Bardzo mainstreamowy im wyszed³. Nawet dynamiczniejszy i blackowy The Astral Dialogue brzmi bardzo akustycznie i naturalnie rzek³bym. Na chwilê obecn± najbardziej przypad³ mi do gustu otwieraj±cy Birth and Death of the Pillars of Creation. Ma w sobie co¶ urzekaj±cego - akustyczny wstêp, a po nim mocniejsze elektryzuj±ce i odrobinê podnios³e granie - wspania³e! Do albumu z pewno¶ci± bêdê wraca³, bo nie¼le mi siê go s³ucha, a jak siê u³o¿y w ca³o¶ci dorobku... czas poka¿e. Z pewno¶ci± genialnego i ponadczasowego "Ashes Against the Grain" nie przeskoczy, ale generalnie jest nie¼le. :)

Na razie przes³ucha³em t± now± p³ytê 3 razy no i niestety mam wra¿enie, ¿e jest duuuuuu¿o poni¿ej oczekiwañ. Jakby kompletnie bez pomys³u i w rozkroku miêdzy wszystkim co robili wcze¶niej. Na razie nie czujê za bardzo potrzeby wracania do tego albumu. No ale mo¿e jeszcze siê przekonam. Póki co mam wra¿enie, ¿e w³a¶nie wydali najgorszy ich long w historii. Obym siê myli³......

No to ja ju¿ chyba siê ca³kiem zestarza³em, zdziadzia³em i nie mam czucia w cz³onkach, bo mi siê podoba. ;)  Mo¿e nie mam wypieków, ale z ogromn± przyjemno¶ci± udajê siê na wêdrówkê z "The Serpent & The Sphere". :)
