We want new Opeth just as badly as you do, here's an official statement regarding Pale Communion:
Roadrunner Records group Opeth has announced that the release of their highly anticipated eleventh studio album, Pale Communion has been reslated for August 26th.
“Many of you have heard the rumours already and we can now confirm that the release of Pale Communion has indeed been pushed back to late August,” commented Opeth frontman, Mikael Åkerfeldt. “Several circumstances prevented the band from delivering essential tools to Roadrunner in time which are needed to set up the album release properly and release schedule conflicts made us mutually decide on August instead of June.”
Pale Communion, which was produced by the band’s very own Mikael Åkerfeldt and mixed by longtime collaborator and Porcupine Tree frontman/guitarist Steven Wilson, will be heralded by the lead single 'Cusp of Eternity' and available for pre-order starting Tuesday, June 3rd. Pre-orders for Pale Communion made via the iTunes Store will receive an instant download of 'Cusp of Eternity' as well as second album track to be released on July 15th, with multiple configurations also available via both the Roadrunner Records Webstore and O Merch.

Cuchnie mi to trochê niepowa¿nym podej¶ciem ze strony zespo³u, a nie samej wytwórni. Byæ mo¿e RR nabra³o wody w usta, bo sami nic nie wiedzieli i musieli poczekaæ na jaki¶ sygna³ z obozu MA. Ogólnie do¶æ dziwna sytuacja, bo zespó³ "du¿y", z do¶wiadczeniem, wytwórnia te¿ nie zielona, a ba³agan i dezorientacja jakby to by³o wydawnictwo szkolne.

Tak to wygl±da, bo RR wydawa³a ju¿ oficjalne o¶wiadczenie, a zespó³ wci±¿ milczy, zarówno na swojej stronie, jak i na fejbusikowym profilu.

W oczekiwaniu na nowy album, dwa cytaty :

Pale Communion is awesome, no doubt about it. Great song writing, great musical performance and production. My only fear is that Opeth will stick to this genre and kinda repeat themselves. If they do another album like it, they'll be turning in cirlces, I guess... The funny thing is also that, to me, Cusp of Eternity is the weakest song of the album. Whereas The Devil's Orchard was one of the best of Heritage ! So don't be stressed if you're disappointed of Cusp, the rest of the record is great. There's even an Alice in Chains/Lynyrd Skynyrd vibe song, which is my favourite of the record for now !

As an Opeth fan, I can assure you the reason of the delay is awesome, and worth the wait.

Prezentuje sie swietnie! Gdyby ten artwork byl prawdziwy to bym sie nie obrazil.

Te¿ bym siê nie obrazi³. Ok³adka wci±ga, bo znowu jest wieloznaczna i ma swoj± jakby mroczn± tajemnicê. Trzy ¶redniowieczne obrazy o zagadkowej symbolice. Dodatkowo fantastycznie wygl±da to ¶wiat³o wpadaj±ce gdzie¶ z lewej strony. Szkoda, ¿e rozdzielczo¶æ jest s³aba i nie da siê odczytaæ napisów na wstêgach - ciekawe co mog± oznaczaæ. A na z³otej (mosiê¿nej) tabliczce pod Opethowym O, przed tytu³em albumu, s³owo zaczynaj±ce siê na R, druga jakby I, trzecia F lub P, nie mogê odczytaæ... A po tym s³owie rzymskie XI. Fajna ok³adka. Mo¿e prawdziwa...
