Czy to tylko ja, czy cos sie wydarzylo ogolnie, ze jakos nie jaram sie nowym DT? Panowie wlasnie polozyli bebny na nadchodzacy album, a ja mam to jakos gdzies ;) ;) ;) A moze to kwestia Manginiego? Za Portka reportaze ze studia wyrywaly z butow, a teraz jakos wieje nuda.

Ogl±dam w³a¶nie ubieg³oroczny koncert Dreamów z Japonii. Kr±¿y³a jaka¶ pog³oska, ¿e mieli to wydaæ na DVD/BR. ¦wietnie siê to ogl±da. Bardzo dobrze sfilmowane. Bardzo dobry d¼wiêk. I co najwa¿niejsze, zespó³ jest w ¶wietnej formie, pomimo ¿e tu i ówdzie zdarzaj± siê drobniuteñkie wpadki i niedoci±gniêcia. ¦rodkowa czê¶æ show to zagrany w ca³o¶ci na ¿ywo "Images and Words". Uwielbiam takie granie. :)

Ej, to w takim razie skad to sie wzielo na YT w takiej jakosci, skoro nie wyszlo to na dvd? Faktycznie niezle to wyglada.

Lubi siê albo nie. Nie ma na to recepty. Ka¿da epoka ma swoje brzmienie. Ja lubiê brzmienia lat 80. P³yta co prawda powstawa³a ju¿ na pocz±tku lat 90. ale to management, wytwórnia i wybrany przez ni± producent podjêli decyzjê, jak album ma brzmieæ, w³±cznie z u¿yciem triggerów (bez wiedzy Portka). Od pocz±tku nie uk³ada³a siê wspó³praca zespo³u z wydawc± i dopiero od czasu realizacji SFAM zespó³ ca³kowicie ola³ naciski i zacz±³ robiæ p³yty po swojemu, nie ogl±daj±c siê na nikogo. Poczytaj sobie "Lifting Shadows. Autoryzowana biografia zespo³u Dream Theater" - t³umaczenie trochê kiepskie, ale wiele ciekawych rzeczy z tej pozycji mo¿na siê dowiedzieæ. ;) :)

No mam dok³adnie to samo, bardzo lubiê Pull me under, ale ci±g dalszy zawsze mnie nudzi³ i odrzuca³ brzmieniem.

Akurat mi na I&W nic nie przeszkadza, w³±cznie z brzmieniem, ale to mo¿e wynikaæ z faktu, ¿e ja ten album poznawa³em wkrótce po jego ukazaniu siê i wtedy to by³a zaskakuj±ca i nietuzinkowa rzecz w ¶wiecie metalowego grania. ¯aden metalowy band tak wtedy nie gra³, z tak± wyobra¼ni± i z takim rozmachem. Owszem od kilku lat by³a na rynku "Operation Mindcrime", ale Dreami poszli jeszcze bardziej do przodu. Dla mnie I&W to ¶wietna p³yta. Potem nagrali jeszcze lepsze p³yty, ale bez tej zespó³ dawno by ju¿ nie istnia³.

Zawsze mialem wrazenie, ze w tych miejscach, w ktorych padaja slowa 'take me as I am', wokal LaBrie nie wyrabia. Idealnie by tam pasowalo takie gardlowe rzygniecie w stylu Chucka Billy'ego z Testamentu ;) Ale numer zacny, wiadomo :)
